During April and May, join me for an early morning short tour by car and/or on foot to explore the scots pine forests and heather moorlands which make this area so famous. We’ll be hoping for a glimpse of the elusive capercaillie – one of the biggest grouse in the world and one of the rarest birds in Britain. But we will also be in prime habitat for a variety of other forest species too, including lekking black grouse.
If booked with a full day trip, this product attracts a £20 discount. State code BOFD at checkout. For example, we could try to see all four of Britain’s star grouse in a day: Capercaillie, Black grouse, Ptarmigan and Red grouse! (See ‘Cairngorms Plateau’ below).
